2009 Updates to Football, Volleyball and Soccer
The following features and improvements are new in the Fall 2009 version of DakStats.
All Fall Sports
Web-Sync Toolbar Menu
The new Web-Sync toolbar menu includes several common tasks to make the whole Web-Sync process more convenient. This menu compiles the functions found under the File > DakStats Web-Sync menu.
- If the currently open competition includes teams with valid league IDs and a Web-Sync profile exists, users can select the profile under the Web-Sync Season menu to perform a full sync. The Web-Sync Game option can be used to sync just a single game.
- Users may also choose to Download Visitor Roster or Download Home Roster if available.
- The Submit game file and Retrieve game file options allow users to upload game data to the Web-sync server, improving the process of sharing game files.
DakStats Message Center
The new message section of DakStats will let us send messages and notifications to the Web-Sync user, like notifications of when your opponent posts game stats.
Combined In-Game Reports
New combined in-game reports allow users to create several reports within one HTML file, with bookmarks to eat report at the top of the page. This feature makes it much quicker to post or email multiple reports. To use this feature, go to File > Print In Game, then check the Output as combined file option.
Season Database Backup
Users can now backup their season database to an external location, rather than to the default DakStats directory. It is recommended that users backup their seasons in case of hard drive crashes or other computer problems. To backup seasons, go to Configure > Season & System Preferences, then click the Utilities tab and enable the Backup Externally? option to select the new backup folder.
Box Mode Entry
Box Mode games now feature alternating colored rows to help users keep the stats separate. Also, after clicking on a player’s stats, their name and jersey will appear at the top of the screen for easier recognition.
GameCast Settings
New GameCast settings within the Webcast menu make it quick and easy to begin outputting scores/stats to the DakStats GameCast application for press personnel to view.
DakStats Volleyball
"Sets" Instead of "Games" in Reports
New rules configuration allow for the word “game” to be replaced with “set” in printouts and printout menus. To make this change, go to Configure > Rules Configuration and enable Show “Games” as “Sets” in reports.
