Topic: Web-Sync                 

Problem: 
When attempting to Web-Sync, I receive error message containing “Slow DAO.” 

Resolution:
Reset the team’s ID.

  1. Go to Configure > Teams.
  2. Select the team from the list.
  3. Click Look Up ID/Code.
  4. Choose the appropriate league, and then find the school in the list.
  5. Click Select, and try to Web-Sync again. 

NOTE: After you reset the team's id, the League Id will be cleared to 0. Try to Web-Sync. If you follow these steps and still encounter the error, you should attempt to Web-Sync again. DakStats uses two database drivers for normal operation and for Web-Syncing. The DAO driver is slower than the ADO one. Sometimes the DAO driver is not done writing when the ADO driver starts, causing a problem. DakStats automatically holds the ADO driver and tries to Web-Sync again.


When using sync for multiple schools, occasionally the league ID gets cleared out for a team. DakStats does not know it has been cleared out, so it does not try to fill the field back in, so the user must reselect the team code.

Note: "Slow DAO" error messages may also occur for users importing file types from other statistical software. These game files occasionally include a duplicate team player which is then added to the database. If the above resolution does not work, you may have an issue with duplicate team players. Please contact DakStats@Daktronics.com for help in fixing the issue.
