Problem:
In DakStats Baseball, the IP (Innings Pitched) statistics are not being correctly attributed to the appropriate players.
Resolution:
You can usually pinpoint the game in which the IP is off. You will then need to figure out which inning the problem is in and remedy it by following the below steps:
- Open the problem game.
- Switch to box mode by going to View > Box Score by Inning.
NOTE: Do not alter any stats at this point while in Box Mode. The game will remain in Box Mode and any Play-by-Play information will be lost.
- Look through each inning at the TM PO (Team Put Outs) column and ensure that the column adds up to 3 put outs in each inning.
- Make a note of any innings that do not add up to 3.
- Go to View > Play-by-Play to switch back to Play-by-Play mode.
- In the play-by-play list, scroll to the inning missing put outs, and click on the first play that ended in an out.
- Make sure the play has a sequence entered.
a. If it does not, enter one (ex. “3” for first base).
b. If it does have a sequence entered, continue on to the next play ending in an out.
- After all the sequences have been entered, go to Edit > Rebuild Stats.
More information:
Occasionally during game entry, users do not enter an out sequence, and in these instances DakStats does not attribute the IP for that inning. Be sure to always record out sequences when possible.
