Problem:  When trying to Web-Sync, I receive error message “Failed to Open Database”

Questions:

  • Was the DakStats software recently installed on a new computer?
  • Cause:
    One or both of the following DLL files did not automatically register upon installing the software: "msjetolebd40.dll" and/or “msjet40.dll".

    Resolution:
    You will need to manually register the files:

    1. Make sure DakStats is closed.
    2. Go to Start > Run.
    3. Type in "cmd" and click OK.
    4. In the command line window, type in "cd C:\Windows\System32".
    5. Type in "rgsvr32 msjetolebd40.dll" and press [Enter]. You should receive a message that the file was successfully registered.
    6. Repeat Step 5 with "msjet40.dll".
