DakStats Lights Up 2007 Baseball College World Series

July 2007 - DakStats entertained the crowds at the 2007 NCAA Baseball College World Series, providing detailed stats and graphics to the main display at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, NE.

Rosenblatt’s ProStar® display, installed before the 2006 CWS, was used to show fans a wide variety of season and game statistics. As each team was up to bat, the batting lineup was shown on the display, and Real Time Data (RTD) allowed operators to highlight the current batter on the lineup. Results for each player’s previous at bats was also shown.

Throughout the game, the DakStats Chart Generator produced spray charts for each batter. To give the College World Series an extra touch, Live Events Services altered the field used in the spray charts to include the 2007 College World Series logo in center field.

Eric Ray (Live Events Services) attended the event and commented, “Interfacing between DakStats and the displays went flawlessly during the entire College World Series. We were able to meet and exceed the statistical expectations set by the NCAA, and they were especially impressed with the look and capabilities of the spray charts created by the DakStats Chart Generator.”

DakStats also provided the ProStar display with defensive lineups for both team, showing a picture of the field with each player’s name in the appropriate location.

With the help of DakStats, fans got more from the stats at the 2007 College World Series.
